Upgrading firmware method:
1. Turn off this player, and remove all HDDs, USB devices and network.
2. Download the firmware, unzip it into the root of USB disk, and rename the *.img file to install.img.
3. Remove all storage devices from this player, connect the USB disk to it, press and hold the Restore button in the hole on the front panel, turn on this player(still hold the Restore button and release it after 10 seconds) and the firmware upgrade screen will shows up. Do NOT remove the USB disk while upgrading.
4. The unit will reboot itself after it shows upgrade finished message

1. if your blu-ray ISO files are not with BD-profile 1.0, this player can not display the original blu-ray menus, you can only use this player to get a simple navigation, like go to different chapter, change audio track etc, this is called BD-lite
2. yes, this player can passthrough DTS-HD MA and Dolby True HD with both BD1.0 or BD-lite

1. Frame sequential 3D is only used on some projector, and you must need use a computer to output frame sequential signals. All of 3D media player (include Bluray player) does not support such output format.
2. This player could play 3D Blu-ray iso movies
3. The netflix function is not stable, sometimes can work, but sometimes can not access the internet.
4. You just need enable the Android system in Setting page, then you can access it in main menu, it is very easy.
5. In Android system, the web browser is Google Chrome
6. The chipset of this player and Himedia HD900B are the same, so the main functions of the 2 players are also the same, just firmware are different.

- Dear Friends ,
I have received #D Android player about week ago and downloaded new firmware from the site you send me a link for. I tried a upgrade proces and it worked fine. After upgrade I could not accses any instaled apps. as Netflix, Vod, audio or video Podcast. I repeated upgrade proces few times and I gues, I did something wrong, because ,now, my Remote does not work, and player freezes,half bood down and power buton on unite does not work , and when I try to upgrade proces again, USB is not recognised and boot continues until unite freezes again. Can you please tell me if there is some way to fix this.Maybe some factory flush software or something else. Thank you very much in advance.

Please use the safe mode to restore the player with latest firmware.
1. Turn off this player, and remove all HDDs, USB devices and network.
2. Copy the install.img to the root of your USB flash drive
3. Remove all storage devices from this player, connect the USB flash drive to the USB port of this player.
4. Press and hold the Restore button (in the small hole on the front panel), turn on the power switch, still hold the Restore button and release it after 10 seconds) and the firmware upgrade screen will shows up. Do NOT remove the USB flash drive while upgrading.
5. The unit will reboot after it shows upgrade finished message
Please let us know whether it will work normally after upgrading.

Thanks for replying so fast.
Unfortunatly, restoring the player using a safe mode did not work. And I know why, now. I made mistake and instaled wrong firmware ,that belongs to my old player caled Measy x5, Instalatio process worked and I did not realise wht I did until thr reboot of the unit ,where my remote did not work ,and unite does not repond to USB stick , or pressing Restore button, It goes dirctly to System setting screan and frizes there. I need to completly flush every trace of that firmware and any other program fron BIOS or so ,and instal original factory programs. Can you please help me whit this problem?

If you installed wrong firmware, it will cause the problem you mentioned. You need use the safe mode to restore this player as we mentioned in last email.
Please make sure you have extract the downloaded files and get the install.img files. then copy it to the root of your USB disk.
Remove all storage devices from this player, connect the USB diskto the USB port of this player.
IMPORTANT: Press and hold the Restore button (in the small hole on the front panel), turn on the power switch, still hold the Restore button UNTIL the firmware upgrade screen shows up.
Please let us know whether you can see the upgrading processing there

I am trying to decide between this and the HiMedia HD900B and while the features seems to be identical on the two boxes, the price is not.
What are the differences between these two boxes? Only the WiFi?
The fact that this box is advertised without the name of the people making it also kind of worries me. Impossible to find reviews :/

The 2 players you mentioned use the same 3D chipset of Realtek RTD 1186DD, so the hardware and main function are the same
But they are from different supplier, the firmware are different, outlook appearance are also different.
The main difference are as below:
1. firmware
2. built-in wifi
3. front panel screen
4. front touch control buttons
Our supplier provide continuously firmware upgrading for this player.

In Android system, you can use USB mouse/keyboard to control this player, but we are not sure about the touch control.
We did not have such type TV for testing here, so sorry for that

Of course I turn the power of before pressing resset buton. I did follow the same upgrade procedure few times and worked OK,
Until I mistakenly loaded up wrong Firmware and screwed-up everything.
I would not ask you for help if I did not try everything. Only thing that I did not try is “factory setup “ because I did not have the original factory Firmware that was used to Boot the player for THE FIRST TIME EVER in the factory.
Looks like you cannot help me and provide a link to the original software,
So I will not bother you anymore.

We checked again with our supplier, they said if the user flash it with wrong firmware, he can only restore it with safe mode upgrading. But I am not sure what happened there, if you really can not restore it yourself, you can return it to us, we will send it back to factory and ask their engineer to restore it here, is it OK?

First of all let me thank your for your high professionalism. It's really appreciated. Couple of quests:
1. I've received my player and successfully upgraded it to the latest FW and did all necessary network setup. My previous player running on RTD1073 worked fine and I could see it on my LAN. I also used my Win7 laptot to copy files on player's HDD. But I cannot see this player on my network even though Samba is on and I double-checked the network setup and power cycled all my devices. Where is the problem?
2. Can I install Himedia900B FW on this player?

Thanks for your inquiry
1. To use the SAMBA function, you need use this player to format the internal hard drive, then go to Setting page and enable SAMBA there.
2. Please NEVER install any other firmware on this player, it will cause this player become brick, our supplier will provide firmware upgrading for this player continuously

This may be the reason, it's true, I've not formatted the HDD. Will see and report bac this evening. How about the network performance? My previous player was capable of copying over the network at about 6-7MBs.
I have a Hatmony600 remote. I'd like to know if I can use this player with it. What name should I enter to identify the device in Harmony database?

The network file transfer speed is not too fast. To get faster data transfer speed, our supplier advise to use NFS function.
It will gives you much better network streaming/transferring speed
But I am afraid that this item can not work with your universal remote control, our supplier did not provide us any code for this remote control. Besides, as you can see that there are lots of functions with this remote control, the original remote control may be the only way to control it.

- Not a question but a reply to Mica. I've done the same thing to another player. From what I've read the "bootloader" has probably been changed and if the restore button no longer works then it's unlikely you'll be able to recover the machine. At least not without going through a complicated process. - Hi again,
it seems that there is a problem with SAMBA server in this firmware. I've formatted the HDD and enabled samba. Now I can access my shares from the player, but I cannot see the player's HDD on my Win7 machine. It is shown as LOCALHOST and when I try to enter it, i can only see the shares of my Win7 and not the player's HDD.
Is there a way to serially flash the bootcode on this player to install the alternative firmware?

Could you please turn off the Firewall or close the Anti-virus software on your Windows 7 computer and try again?
Or if possible, could you please use different computer for a try? Like Windows xp or others
Please use below method for a try:
1. go to network setting page and remember the IP address of this player, for example 192.168.1.111
2. double click My Computer, input \\192.168.1.111 in the address bar (must include "\\")
Can you access the directory?

I have figured out how to accsess the samba share by reading other manufacturer's guide. It's however strange that it does not show up in the network by itself. So, I had to create a shortcut on my desktop and now I can drag&drop the files on it using my Win7 machine.

Baru X5 has built-in iTV applications, it could play several online TV channels.

The Netflix function is not so stable on this player, sometimes you can not access Netflix service.
I am not very clear about Roku function you mentioned, so we are not sure whether it supports Roku. The main function of this player is to play 3D and HD 1080p movies, the Android function is not so good as other Android devices.

Thanks for your inquiry, please check below answers
1. Yes, this player could stream videos from your computer to TV over network. To get better streaming speed, we advise you to use NFS function. Bu this player can only play half SBS 3D movies, NOT work with Full SBS 3D movies.
2. This player will not format your hard drive automatically, you need format it manually. To run the Android system, you just need enable it in Setting page.
3. You can enable Samaba function on this player, then you can access the internal hard drive of this player over network and transfer fiels

- I bought this player and I am very happy that it was delivered in reasonable time to India. There are a few Hickups with the Player. I can connect to the Player via Windows 7 Explorer, but when I try to connect using a web browser (FireFox/IE) it ask me a stupid question , like A simple html+cgi example , Enter first number : Enter Second number and there is a SUM click button. When I enter some number, it just hangs. Does not go further. In the manual, it says , it should show you the Neighbor Web page. But it does not show. Is there any setup I need to do go get to this.

Do you want to use the Bittorrent downloading function or others?
For the torrent client function, please do as below:
1. install an internal hard drive to this player
2. format internal hard drive with this player (please backup your important files before formatting)
3. go to Network setting page and enable BT downloading
4. use your computer web browser to access the torrent management interface again (use the IP address of the player)
